Our Story
Our story starts with the purchase of farmland in the Southern Fleurieu peninsula in the shadow of Willunga Hill in the 1980's. Being a moderately cool climate and set at 300 meters above sea level, areas of the property were established with stone fruit orchards and planted to both Shiraz and Pinot Gris vines in the early 1990's. The Desmond family still own and operate the orchards to this day and have a successful farm-gate cherry business in addition to their small wine label. Visitors to the cellar door are often able to sample produce from the orchards in addition to our hand crafted wines during December each year.

Cool climate vineyards
Viticulture
We produce our fortified cherry liqueur and Cherry Moscato sparkling wine from cherries grown in our orchard on the property. Small parcels of red grapes are sourced from local vineyards around McLaren Vale and the Southern Fleurieu to produce our range of dry red wine styles as well as sparking wine.
